These are the gates to the Trackside bar and they take their inspiration from motifs from classic Railway logos, Art Deco railway design and 1950s Modernism. They were designed to complement the architecture of the station building, a mix of 1930s and 1950s styles.

The designs serve as a reminder of the Golden Age of Rail Travel in the mid-20th Century, in the days when the railways were a crucial part of communities and served as the major form of travel for the populace. The etched stainless steel panels show four different maps of the Irwell and Roch Valleys.
